How many times a day to post on each social network

There is no magic number, but there are ranges that work better on each platform — and one principle that applies to all.
The principle
Sustainable frequency beats high frequency. Posting three times a week for a year yields more than posting daily for three weeks and disappearing.
By platform
- TikTok and Kwai: 1 to 3 a day. The platforms that most reward volume.
- Instagram feed/Reels: 4 to 7 a week.
- Instagram stories: 3 to 10 screens a day.
- YouTube long-form: 1 to 2 a week.
- YouTube Shorts: 1 a day.
- Facebook: 3 to 5 a week.
- WhatsApp channel: 1 to 3 messages a day.
- Telegram: 1 to 5 a day, depending on the channel type.
Adjust by objective
- Grow fast: go to the top of the range, prioritising short video.
- Maintain and sell: mid-range, with more stories and relationship content.
- Authority: fewer posts, deeper ones.
Beware of excess
Two feed posts close together compete with each other — the second usually underperforms. Space them by at least a few hours.
Posting too much is not penalised, but it splits the same audience's attention between your own posts.
Quality and volume
On discovery platforms like TikTok, volume compensates for uneven quality, because each video is tested on its own. On relationship platforms, excess tires people.
How to find yours
Pick a frequency, keep it for a month, note average reach. Increase it and compare the next month. If average reach per post falls sharply, you overshot.
Summary
Follow the platform range, adjust by objective and pick a pace you can hold for months. Sustainable consistency is what produces compounding results.
