The first thousand followers: why they are the hardest

Going from zero to a thousand usually takes longer than going from a thousand to ten thousand. It is not an illusion: there are concrete reasons.

Prepare the profile before promoting

Have at least nine posts explaining what you do, a clear bio and organised highlights. Bringing visits to an incomplete profile wastes them.

A realistic target

Three months of consistent posting is the range where most people see traction. Those who quit almost always quit before that.
